About Me

I am presently Head of Research at Kuwait Financial Center (Markaz), a leading asset management company based in Kuwait with AUM exceeding $3b. I am also the Managing Director of Marmore Mena Intelligence, a research subsidiary of Markaz.


I lead the strategic research initiative of Markaz with specific focus on big picture research. Prior to this assignment, I was involved with a wealth management firm based in Bahrain as Director of Investment Management. In this role, I was advising Middle Eastern high net worth clients on asset allocation and money manager selection. In a career spanning more than 30 years, I dedicated nearly 18 years in the Gulf region (Riyadh, Bahrain and Kuwait). Prior to this stint in the Gulf region, I worked with several institutions based in India including the largest mutual fund Unit Trust of India and the largest engineering consultancy MECON.

I obtained CFA Charter from the CFA Institute, USA (2003) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification from the Global Association for Risk Professionals, USA (2005). I am also a Fellow member of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India. I am associated with CFA Institute as a volunteer since 2003. I was the founding President of CFA Kuwait Society and am also a founding member of CFA Bahrain Society. I attended a 2-week Investment Management Workshop at Harvard Business School in 2007.
